Recipients of this prestigious honor rank among the top 10% of hospitals in the nation for the specialty in which they’ve been recognized.

PMC is the only hospital along the Western Slope to earn the 2024 Joint Replacement Excellence Award. About the Healthgrades Joint Replacement Excellence Award

The Healthgrades Joint Replacement Excellence Award is given to hospitals demonstrating outstanding clinical performance. Unlike other hospital quality studies, Healthgrades makes clinical outcomes the sole criteria for earning this prestigious award. The 2024 hospital assessment focused on patient mortality and complication rates among 35 common conditions and procedures throughout 4,500 hospitals across the country.

The Healthgrades ratings used to determine award recipients provide critical feedback for hospitals and patients alike. Their objective patient outcome metrics make it easy for patients to identify the medical facilities that deliver the best quality care. Similarly, these ratings allow hospitals to clearly see what they do well and which areas they need to improve on moving forward.

According to the most recent Healthgrades data, the performance gap between the best performing hospitals and other facilities is getting wider, making it more critical than ever to seek treatment from a top-rated surgical clinic such as PMC.
