Pioneers Medical Center Announces Liz
Sellers as CEO
Meeker, Colorado—The
Pioneers Medical Center Board of Directors is excited to welcome Liz Sellers to
the Pioneers team. “Liz has 20 years of
executive level leadership in healthcare that will be a great asset to the PMC
team,” said Kim Brown, President, PMC Board of Directors.
“Liz’s experience makes
her a well-round leader,” continued Brown. “She has comprehensive experience
with the operations of non-profit and profit hospitals, physician relations and
clinical experience, which gives her the unique ability to understand how a
hospital functions from many different angles.”

settling into the position as Pioneers CEO and getting to know the Meeker
community,” says Liz Sellers, Incoming Pioneers CEO. “During my on-site visit, I was very
impressed with the direction of Pioneers as a rural healthcare provider, and
the thoughtful vision of both the staff and PMC leadership.”

Pioneers would like to thank Cindy Buck for her leadership over the past 5
months,” continued Brown. “Cindy has done a tremendous job moving the
construction expansion ahead and helping staff manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
She has done a fantastic job.”

Pioneers is a patient and family-centered organization. Under normal circumstances, we welcome patients and visitors. We understand the value of in-person visits for our patients and residents.
COVID-19 has placed us in a difficult position. As a healthcare organization, we put our patients and their safety first. We do everything we can to prevent the spread of this virus. Protecting our patients, staff and visitors is our top priority; therefore, anyone entering the building is asked to wear a mask. We have updated our visitor policy to limit visitors entering the building with the following exceptions:
Emergency Department: Patients are limited to one visitor. This visitor is required to remain in the room with the patient at all times and must contact Emergency Department Staff prior to exiting the patient’s room. Visitors will be escorted in-and-out of the Emergency Department.
Inpatients: One visitor, designated at the time of admission, is allowed for patients admitted to the inpatient floor.
End-of-life care: Two visitors are allowed simultaneously. Other family members must remain outside of the facility, rotating in-and-out of the patient’s room.
One visitor is allowed to accompany a patient during hospital discharge.
Two designated primary caregivers will be allowed for the duration of pediatric hospital stays; however, only one primary caregiver should be present in the hospital, if possible.
Patients undergoing surgery/procedures may have one visitor who must leave the hospital as soon as possible after the surgery/procedure.
One visitor will be permitted to accompany a patient to facilitate care or treatment in areas that include: the clinic, lab, radiology and surgery/procedure.
ALL visitors are required to complete the entrance health screening and those who have symptoms of a respiratory infections (i.e., fever, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, etc.) are not allowed to enter the facility.
ALL visitors are required to wear a mask while visiting PMC. Visitors are encouraged to wear their own personal mask. If a visitor does not have a mask, a cloth mask will be provided. The visitor is asked to deposit the mask in the laundry bin upon exit.
Visitors must stay in the patient’s room for the entirety of their visit.
Children under the age of 18 will not be allowed except under extraordinary circumstances.
The Walbridge Wing continues to be under a NO visitor policy as per the Governor’s orders.
