Cindy Buck, MHA Joins Pioneers as Interim CEO

Meeker, Colorado—The Pioneers Medical Center Board of Directors is excited to have Cindy Buck on board as the Interim Chief Executive Officer. Buck joined the team in early December and has had a busy first month. “We are thrilled with Cindy’s knowledge of healthcare, says Kim Brown, Pioneers Board President. “She has the perfect blend of talent to match Pioneers’ needs.”

Buck has deep roots in healthcare, with more than twenty years’ experience working in all levels of healthcare within community hospitals of varying sizes. In particular, Buck has experience in finance and operations, from holding positions as Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer.

“While serving as the Interim CEO it will be my job to help the team continue providing great care to the Meeker area,” said Cindy Buck Pioneers Interim CEO. “I am impressed with progressive vision of the organization, the variety of services offered here, and the wonderful people with whom I am beginning to know.”

Buck is serving in the vacancy left by Ken Harman, when he departed for another job opportunity. Pioneers is in the process of conducting a national search for a permanent CEO. “We are not sure how long the search will take,” said Brown. “We want a knowledgeable candidate that fits with Pioneers Medical Center and our community. A hasty decision could back fire; with the strong leadership of Cindy we can afford to take the necessary time to recruit the best fitting candidate,” finished Brown.
