Kim Dodds has been chosen October Employee of the Month!

The nomination form stated that, ”The lab had the instrument that does PT/INR testing out of service recently. During that time the Lab had been borrowing the Point of Care instrument from the Clinic. Lab personnel are not very familiar with that instrument and on Saturday while Laura Kuras was on call she needed more strips for the instrument in order to run the test. Kim Dodds tracked down more of the strips from the purchasing department for Laura. Sunday night Laura was called in for an ER patient and had to use the clinic’s instrument. She tried the test several times and could not get the instrument to read. She then called Kim at home and Kim came to the ER on her time off and performed the test for the patient and also explained the reason for the error reading. Kim went beyond her normal duties, provided exemplary service, and provided Exceptional Customer Service. Had she not come in during her time off, the Lab was going to have to find a staff member to drive the patient’s specimen to Rifle for STAT testing. On a day to day basis Kim is always helpful and kind to both staff and patients. She is always enjoyable to work with and is sincerely caring in her patient care.”
