Position Title: INSURANCE ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

Department:Patient Financial Services
Position Description: This position is under the direct supervision of the Patient Financial Services Director and will be responsible for follow-up on 3rd party/insurance claims, submission of workman’s compensation claims, and patient account credit/collection. This position will cross-train for general office duties, registration, accounts receivable, and billing.

    Qualifications:
    Education:· High school dipoloma or equivalent
    Experience: Knowledge of medical billing practices, including ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS codes,
    desired but not required
    Special Skills:· Knowledge of office operations, computers, data entry, filing.
    Physical Requirements: Requires long periods sitting, and intermittent standing, bending, lifting, pushing,
    pulling, and moving intermittently
    during working hours.

    · Normal work environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and changes in temperature. This position is eligible for benefits.
